High School Backpack Trip
July 13th - 18th
Are you looking for a trip where you can see some of Michigan's greatest scenery? This year's backpacking trip will take us into the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula along the Lakes Superior shoreline. Students interested in this adventure should be capable of hiking an average of 6 miles per day while carrying personal and some community divided gear for a week long back country trip.

Deans' Bio: Luke & Amy Essex
We have been married for 20+ years and have two boys, Colden and Blake. We love backpacking and have a passion for sharing that love with others. We have been backpacking together for over 15 years. Our favorite places are Isle Royale and The Adirondaks in up-state New York. In 2016, moved to Vestaburg, MI so that Luke could become the Facilities Manager at Rock Lake Christian Assembly, where Amy now serves also, as the Business Manager We both have a passion for this camp and are excited to participate in this ministry as deans to share the love of Christ with the young people who join us each year.
